As part of celebrations marking ‘Tajikistan Cultural Days’, the embassy of Tajikistan organized a concert, at the Abdulhussain Abdulridha Theater on 20 November.

In attendance at the event was Ambassador of Tajikistan, H.E. Dr. Zubaydullo Zubaydov, who along with the First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan Ibodullo Masharabov, welcomed the General Secretary of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters of Kuwait, Ali Al-Yuha.

In his address, Ambassador Zubaydov said that the aim of ‘Tajikistan Cultural Days’ was to strengthen relations between Tajikistan and  Kuwait, and with the Gulf countries in general. Through this cultural initiative we seek to introduce the people of Kuwait and the Gulf to the culture and beauty of Tajikistan, said the envoy.

He praised His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a prominent world leader endowed with great experience and wisdom.

On the sidelines of the function, special guest  the Assistant Foreign Minister for Asia affairs, Ambassador Ali Al-Saeed, described the relationship between Kuwait and Tajikistan as  excellent and developed.

He reiterated that the close relations between the two friendly countries were evident in the high-level bilateral visits, such as the visit of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to Kuwait, during which he held discussions with His Highness the Amir. Ambassador Al-Saeed expressed his hope that events such as Tajikistan Cultural Days would further contribute to the development of relationship between the two countries.

The visiting Tajikistan ensemble ,‘Parastu’, in their vibrant costumes performed enchanting traditional Tajik dances to the backdrop of instrumental music. The audience was also exposed to traditional Tajik songs, highlighted by ‘Tamali ma’ak’ sung by Khujastai Mirzovali.

As part of the Cultural Days, a Folk Arts exhibition was held that presented fascinating aspects of Tajikistan and the artistic talent of the people.
