The 10th, 11th and 12th graders of Integrated Indian School (IIS) exhibited their culinary skills on 4May at the the Inter-House Cookery Competition.

The competitions for the 11th and 12th graders, titled ‘The Ultimate Cook-Off 2019-20’, was the preparation of a scrumptious five-course meal that included appetizers, salads, main course, desserts and drinks.

For the 10th graders, the competition was based on the theme of ‘Cooking without Fire’, and included the preparation of starters, salads, desserts, drinks and fine-dining table set-up.

Vegetable and fruit carving for the presentation was also included in the competitions.

The food items were prepared exquisitely and displayed in the most artistic manner. The judges for the event were Chef Sunil of Al Hamrah Hotel and Jesny Shameer, winner of the LuLu Hypermarket Food Carnival Competition 2019. Live water-melon carving by Chef Sunil raised enthusiasm among the budding chefs.

Planning, team-spirit, cooperation, organization and execution by the students and their guides made the event an incredible success
