As part of its plan to support national workers in the private sector, the Council of Ministers is studying a number of projects to give them financial benefits equivalent to their counterparts working in the government sector, in addition to continuing with the replacement policy, and stopping to issue work permits for expatriates who earn big salaries who can be replaced by Kuwaitis.

The Al-Anba daily quoting Deputy Director-General at the Public Authority for Manpower for National Labor Affairs Sultan Al-Shaalani said PAM is waiting for an initial approval from the concerned authorities, explaining each project will provide 12,000 jobs for citizens in the private sector over the next two years.

He stressed PAM will provide a real Kuwaitization blueprint which deals with replacement of expatriates who earn high salaries in the private sector including stopping the issue of work permits for these professions which can be occupied by Kuwaitis.
