National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim called on the Council of Ministers to suspend the recently issued closure decisions, Al-Rai reported

Al-Ghanim explained to the daily that he met representatives of the Alliance of Affected Entrepreneurs and Small Enterprises in the presence of MPs Dr. Abdullah Al-Tariji and Ahmed Al-Hamad, where they explained the damages they had suffered and would suffer during the coming period as a result of recent government decisions.

He said to the daily, “I call on the Council of Ministers to immediately halt the measures that have affected this sector because this decision has negative effects on the family, social, and financial life of the owners of these small projects.”

Al-Ghanim announced that he has spoken with His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, who graciously agreed to re-examine the issue, and there will be a meeting tomorrow between the ministerial emergency committee and representatives of the owners of small enterprises.
