Croatian embassy opens in Kuwait City

The Croatian President Kolinda Graber- Kitarovic officially opened the Croatian Embassy in Kuwait on Monday, 6 February in Kuwait City during a two-day visit to the Gulf state. The Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah was the special guest at the ceremony that included members of the diplomatic corps.

On their part, the Croatian delegation was comprised of Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Martina Dalic, Chief of Staff of Croatian Armed Forces General Mirko Sundov and President of the Islamic Community in Croatia Mufti Aziz Hasanovic.

Also part of the delegation was economic representatives, whose visit was organized by the Croatian Chamber of Economy, included representatives of well-known Croatian companies and Croatian National Tourist Board.

At the opening ceremony, President Grabar-Kitarovic mentioned that the new embassy will foster greater ties between Croatia and Kuwait, and help build economic relations between the two countries.
