Dasman Diabetes Institute (DDI), which was founded by Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) recently organized a health awareness outreach at Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Salem Centre to promote awareness about diabetes and its related complications to all the staff.
A specialized multifaceted team from the Institute that comprised of Education and Training, Nutrition, Nursing and Public Relations Departments were present at the outreach to provide consultations, checkups and glucose testing.
Organizing such outreach events stems from the Institute’s mission to address the diabetes epidemic in Kuwait through focused diabetes, research, integrated prevention, training, education and treatment.
