Kuwait's Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah

Kuwait’s Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah released a statement on Friday that an inflamed situation in the region was a cause for anxiety and urged the utmost caution and vigilance.

“Escalating tensions warn of negative developments that could result in dangerous repercussions on security and stability in the region,” he said. Earlier, lawmakers and ministers attended a session behind closed doors on the matter.

Asked about this, he said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled AlHamad Al-Sabah reviewed the political landscape in relation to these developments. The ministers of health, commerce and industry, oil, electricity and water and information also expressed their ministries’ readiness to deal with any resulting escalations, he added. Al-Jarallah went on to urge all efforts be exerted to prevent the region from the repercussions of this dangerous escalation.
