Following successful inspection campaigns that targeted Al-Jahra and Al-Farwaniyah governorates where a number of people and establishments were charged with violating environmental laws, the Public Authority for Environment moved to the Ardiya area to monitor environmental infarctions there.
During the inspection campaign the authority issued citations against several cafes and restaurants for not complying with environmental laws. While some of the restaurants were found to be operating without licenses, others were booked for the improper disposal of waste cooking oils.
