A dispute between two Ethiopian men allegedly ended up with one stabbing the other multiple times and escaping. Reports from the scene said the victim was stabbed three times in the stomach and once on his hand.
Police and medical personnel who were called to scene responded immediately and rushed the victim to the hospital. The police are understood to be treating the case as attempted murder, and have slapped a travel ban on the suspected murderer to prevent his escape from the country.
According to a complaint filed by the victim’s sister at the Khaitan Police Station, the suspect identified as Abel attempted to kill her 29-year-old brother Helli, after failing to resolve a dispute between them.
