Expatriate residents who have left Kuwait after September 1, 2019 can re-enter Kuwait as per a circular issued by Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation DGCA allowing passngers to be able to board flights back to Kuwait, provided they have valid residence permits.

The circular instructs all airlines that passengers can board flights irrespective of being out of Kuwait for more than 6 months.

The Ministry of Interior had granted this reprieve in May to expatriates with valid residence visas who were stranded outside Kuwait due to halt in flights to and from Kuwait

This comes under the difficult conditions faced by the country due to coronavirus crisis. The new decisions issued by the Ministry of Interior acknowledges the difficulties faced by expatriates residing in the country and abroad.
