The General Cleanliness and Road Works Department of the Farwaniya Municipality branch carried out 4 field inspection tours in the suburbs of Rabiya, Andalus, Farwaniya and Khaitan and lifted 59 cars and heavy equipment.
A statement issued by the Municipality the campaign was organized upon directives of the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Shaya Al-Shaya, and the Director General of the Municipality, Engineer Ahmed Al-Manfouhi, to raise the level of hygiene in all governorates and lift ‘abandoned’ cars and heavy equipment in open grounds especially since they impede the movement of traffic and distort the general view.
The Director of the General Cleanliness and Road Works Department of the Farwaniya Municipality Branch, Saad Al-Khurainej, stated open areas will be guarded by what he called ‘earth mounds’ to prevent motorists from parking cars and heavy equipment.
Al-Khurainej stressed that field tours will continue in all areas of the governorate to completely clear open grounds of all cars and heavy equipment.
