The Public Relations and Media Department of the Directorate-General of Fire Services (DGFS) said the inspection teams from its Prevention Sector closed 15 companies in all governorates of Kuwait, for failing to obtain a license to install and maintain elevators.

The DGFS said this is done in the best interests and safety of citizens and residents, reports Al-Rai.

The DGFS administration said those wishing to install and maintain electric elevators must ensure the company has the approval of the fire department, which can be obtained by accessing the DGFS portal or visiting the force’s license department.
