Gatherers to be punished with 3 months imprisonment or KD5000 fine

Violators of the Cabinet’s decision to limit gatherings may be punished with a penalty reaching 3 months imprisonment or a fine of up to KD5000, said the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for Public Security Affairs, Major General Faraj Al-Zoubi. He stressed that in light of these exceptional circumstances, health measures are important, and health decisions must be respected, Al Anba reported.

He pointed out that all the forces of the Ministry of Interior will work 24 hours a day to put a halt to any gatherings.

Major General Al-Zoubi expressed his hope that celebrations will take place this year inside the home, especially as this occasion is dear, but the health conditions require that.

In a special statement to Al-Anbaa, Major General Al-Ali confirmed that traffic will be open to cars, but without any marches or obstructions and pointed out that there will be security deployed around the clock so that traffic violations are issued to anyone who hinders the movement of traffic and organizes any march.

He added: As for the parking lots of commercial complexes such as the Marina and others, they will be open, but no gatherings allowed, and the public is granted entry only for shopping at the specified times, i.e. until eight in the evening.
