Hajj pilgrims perform stones throwing ritual

Hajj pilgrims began Monday the stones throwing ritual, which will last for three days from dawn to dusk. The ritual will be followed by the circumambulation of the Kaaba, which will be the final act of worship for pilgrims before heading back to their homes and countries.

According to Saudi authorities, the number of pilgrims this year reached 2,489,406 – 1,855,027 from abroad and 634,379 from within Saudi Arabia.
