The Meteorological Department expected the continuation of hot and brisk winds with speeds exceeding 70 kilometers per hour accompanied by strong gusts of dust till today, Thursday. It is expected that the intensity of the winds will gradually weaken starting from tomorrow afternoon, Friday, Al Qabas daily reported.

The weather forecast observer Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi, said that these dusty winds lead to a decrease in horizontal visibility to less than a thousand meters and may be absent in some areas, especially in open areas, and sea waves may rise more than seven feet.

Al-Qarawi added that it is expected that the intensity of the winds will gradually weaken, starting from tomorrow afternoon, and will be from moderate to brisk for the rest of the period, pointing out that the country will continue to be affected by the extension of the seasonal India depression from the southeast of the country and the extension of air high from the northwest.

He explained that the weather today will be hot and dusty, with northwesterly moderate to strong winds ranging between 30 and 70 kilometers per hour, and the expected maximum temperatures between 42 and 44 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be moderate to high, with waves between 4 and 8 feet.

He stated that the weather tonight will be hot, with dust deposition, northwesterly moderate to brisk winds ranging between 20 and 50 kilometers per hour, and the expected minimum temperature between 32 and 30 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate, and the waves sometimes rise between 3 and 6 feet.

And he indicated that the weather on Friday will be hot, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds ranging between 20 and 50 kilometers per hour, causing dust, especially over open areas, and the expected maximum temperatures between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be moderate to high, with waves between 3 and 7 feet.

The weather on the day after tomorrow, Saturday, he stated that it will be very hot, with northwesterly light to moderate winds, active at intervals between 15 and 40 kilometers per hour, with an opportunity for dust over open areas, and the expected maximum temperatures between 46 and 48 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be moderate to high waves. Between 2 and 6 feet.
