ICSK Class 11 students welcomed with orientation program

The Indian Community School (ICSK), Senior demesne, rolled out the red carpet to its own scions of class 11 for a distinctive orientation program, just one day before their real challenges started. The orientation was arranged on 13 March by the Principal of ICSK Senior, Dr. V. Binumon. It was conducted in two separate sessions- Science followed by the Commerce and Humanities.

Before the commencement of the program, as a mark of humaneness and empathy, a moment of silence was observed to convey the deepest condolences to the bereaved family of T.G.K Noyel Angelo a student of NIOS in the ICSK Senior school.

The Principal Dr. V Binumon framed the orientation for the parents and students of class 11 with an intention to uplift and bolster the morale of the students widely. The program started with a prayer song by the senior school choir group, Swaranjali, to invoke the blessings of the God. The gathering was greeted wholeheartedly by the Vice Principal of ICSK Senior, Dr. Sam T. Kuruvilla.

The idea that perfection is not attainable, but if it is chased one can catch excellence was brought forward by the Academic Supervisor of ICSK Senior, Niva Elna Varghese who was introduced to the gathering. The children were familiarized with their respective class teachers, subject teachers, and Heads of the departments. The highlight of the program was the presentation by the Principal, Dr. V. Binumon to build a network of resources that would help the students and their parents to start their journey in an apt way on the right path. He discussed the subject combinations that are provided in the school as per the CBSE bylaw, as well as the accomplishments of the school.

The parents were briefed about the norms and conditions of the school and were also suggested about the different measures to nurture a child with love and care to build a strong foundation for a strong future. He offered guidance to the students and counselled them that the prayers of their parents are the invisible hand that saves the day.

A total of 365 students have enrolled in class 11 in the ICSK Senior School. The orientation was an effort to guide the parents about their wards in a proper manner. Dr. V Binumon stressed on communication and teamwork before the culmination with the Vote of Thanks that was delivered by the Deputy Vice Principal, Susan Rajesh.
