The 12th Anniversary celebrations of Idukki Association-Kuwait titled Idukki Fest 2019 was held at Riggae Arabic School auditorium in the presence of a large audience. Bahrain Exchange General Manager Mathews Varghese inaugurated the annual festival by lighting the lamp. Malabar Gold and Diamonds Country head Absal Khan delivered the keynote address.

The meeting was presided over by the Idukki Association President Preeth Jose Pallickamyalil. As the association has completed 12 years since its formation, he introduced a new charity project as the second phase of its charitable endeavors, Dew Drops, for the children from financially underprivileged families of Idukki district, and the association will bear the education expenses of 12 school going children for one year.

The singing couples from Kerala, Lallo and Anoop led the Ganamela. Ajilna James, a teenage singer hailing from Idukki District, enchanted the audience in her first overseas performance. Idukki Association member singer Maria Joji and several other members performed various programs.

Nandanam School of Dance and Jackson Sparkle school of Dance, two well-known dance schools from Kuwait presented their excellent quality performances to excite the audience.

Idukki Association General Secretary Ivy Alex Parunthuveettil welcomed the gathering, Idukki Fest General Convener Jiji Mathew and Global Coordinator Mathew Areeparambil gave felicitation speeches. Treasurer Prince Sebastian delivered the vote of thanks. Stage manager Biju P. Anto supervised the event.
