Indian Learners own academy (ILOA) organized an evening to mark its 9th Annual Day and Prize Distribution ceremony with an event titled ‘NAVARASAM’ on 24 October.

It was a proud privilege to have an extraordinary and plenipotentiary, a magnanimous person as our Chief Guest; His Excellency Abul Kalam, the Ambassador of the Republic of Bangladesh.

This event started auspiciously with the lighting of the lamp signifying the elimination of darkness and igniting the world. The Principal of ILOA, Mrs. Asha Sharma, the pillar of the school greeted the audience and also gave a short annual report on the appreciable progress of the Learnites.

A brief introduction to the world of Navarasas was placed through the energetic and scintillating dances, soothing melodious songs, magnificent orchestra put forward by the extraordinarily talented pupils of ILOA. 233 students were felicitated with medals and certificates for their achievement during the year 2018-2019 by the Chief Guest. A cash award was also presented to Mr. Sasi Krishnan (Art Teacher) and Mrs. Rekha Pinto (IT Teacher) for producing centum results in grade 12 by the Chairman of ILOA, Mr. D.K. Sharma. Zandra Theresa of grade 12 and Zandra Catherine of grade 10 were awarded 24 carat gold coins for being the school toppers in the CBSE Board Examination for the year 2018-19. He also felicitated the teachers who had completed five years of service at this institution. The Chief Guest along with the Guests of Honour released the Learners’ Quest 2019-2020 which was a moment of pride and honour to the Learnites.

The visual treat of the day came to an end with a hearty vote of thanks by Arjun Biju (Head Boy) and Sarah Thomas (Head Girl).The entertained crowd left the venue with an everlasting memory of the fiesta in their minds…
