If the spirit of Nationalism and a commitment to the Ideals and Vision of a nation are important yardsticks of the pride and self-esteem of a people, Kuwait stands very tall among the community of Nations. In the one year, I have been in Kuwait, I am a witness to this deep emotional attachment to their Nation among the Kuwaiti people.
As this friendly country of India celebrates its National and Liberation Days this month, it gives me great joy in partaking in their moment of honor. It is also an occasion to laud the noble and wise leadership of His Highness the Amir, and congratulate the Government and the people. Further, as the main representative of the largest expatriate community in Kuwait, it is my moral responsibility to convey our collective gratitude to Kuwait for its warm friendship and hospitality. May the State of Kuwait continue to prosper and succeed in its efforts to bring peace, security and stability to the region.
