The Ambassador of India H.E. Jeeva Sagar hosted the annual Indian embassy Iftar at the India House last week on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan. A gathering comprising of members from the Indian community, Kuwaitis and diplomats attended the Iftar reception.
Commenting on the occasion, Ambassador Sagar said it was such a joy to observe Ramadan in peaceful Kuwait, where a true spirit of Ramadan was reflected by the people. He praised the Kuwaiti people and the wise leadership who have opened their country to almost three million foreigners who live and work peacefully in Kuwait.
On the political front, he said Kuwait was an important country in the international scene as it was actively pursuing peace regionally and internationally and its leadership was very well respected all over the world for their peace efforts. The vibrant diplomatic community in Kuwait also made the country a dream posting for international diplomats, he noted.
