International Women’s Group (IWG) hosts Seasonal celebrations

The International Women’s Group (IWG) held its second virtual meeting for the group’s members on 6 December, 2020, to celebrate Christmas and New Year. The meeting was hosted by Mrs. Layla Boulos, Public Relations Coordinator.

The president of International Women’s Group (IWG), Mrs. Ambreen Mustafa, wife of the Pakistani Ambassador, gave a warm welcome to the participating members; and mentioned that this year was challenging. She expressed hope that the New Year will bring hope and better times, and wished everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. She thanked all esteemed members who have been a part of IWG, and was thankful for their support and interest.

As a part of the celebration, the place was beautifully decorated in a Christmas theme and adorned with sparkling lights, and a shimmering tree that was radiant for the occasion. Red roses representing the celebration of the holidays were distributed throughout the entrance.

The program included a variety of entertainment activities, performance of Violinist play by Nancy Safadi, Christmas carols by Jessica Shidiac from (Catholic Church) and cooking demonstration by Chef Khodor Al Ashek from Crown Plaza Hotel, in addition to the quiz and Christmas raffle.

At the end Mrs. Mustafa expressed her gratitude to the management of the Crown Plaza Hotel, Chef Khodoor, and the band. Certificates of appreciation and shields were given virtually to Carol singer, Violinist and Chef Khodor Al Ashek.
