MP Dr. Badr Al-Mulla confirmed that the Cabinet’s decision regarding stopping subsidy support for those whose salary exceeds KD 3,000 is contrary to Articles 2 and 3 of the Labor Support Law, Al-Rai daily reported.

He also said that it harms them because the workers have obligations on their income, some of them have financial obligations. It would lead to discrimination among citizens, and the Council of Ministers should review its decision.

Al-Mulla said that Article 2, Paragraph 10 of the Employment Support Law stipulated equality and equal opportunities, and Article 3 stipulated that the government should provide subsidies, and did not exclude those whose salary exceeded KD 3,000, so the decision of the Council of Ministers is against the law.
