The Ministry of Justice does not plan to renew the contracts of 581 expatriate typists and instead will recruit Kuwaitis to fill these positions in line with the government’s Kuwaitization policy.

Sources familiar with issue said the Civil Service Commission (CSC), in its letter to the Ministry of Justice, a copy of which has been obtained by the daily, has inquired about the availability of 591 experienced employees registered with the central recruitment system because there is a restriction that ministries and government agencies have not signed contracts to hire expatriates in such jobs.

However, 581 applications submitted by citizens to fill these posts have been cleared.

There is the issue that the implementation of the decision will lead to confusion in the work at all the courts, because for years, the staff (foreign employees) know the nature of the work of judicial decisions associated with the subsequent dates of appeal before the Court of Cassation, hence the requirement that the ministry in the event of the completion of the replacement policy will have to train these new employees.
