Director of the Engineering Department and Chief Operating Officer T4 Saleh Al-Fadhi spoke of the full readiness of the Kuwait International Airport (KIA) in terms of operation of the airport during the summer season what he called the season of travel, reports Al-Anba daily.

He added that the plan, which will be adopted as of next May, was similar to what was implemented during the national holidays last February saying it was successful, with the cooperation of all government agencies.

He added three halls have been opened at T4 building, two of which are for first class passengers and business people and third for transit passengers, which are of high standard and designed to suit travelers’ appetite. “We are currently in the process of opening 22 investment sites, as we have already opened a number of banks’ branches and the first phase of the free trade zone, some restaurants and the equipment to receive the New York flight,” he said.

He pointed out that the Korean company’s operation work at the T4 is limited to three things: operating the airport at a high level of service and reaching the highest state of revenues in investment through investment sites and transfer of experiences for young people. Currently, the first training course is being held in Korea for Kuwaiti youth in civil aviation.

Meanwhile, he disclosed, there is no delay of Kuwait Airways flights at the T4 and the commitment rate and the dates are very high, adding that the parking spaces of Kuwait Airways have been allocated near the airport for easy and quick use of passengers and bags to the building. He explained that the total number of parking in the T4 is 1,800 for short parking, while the number of long parking stands at 657.
