Kuwait Airways said Tuesday as result of the postponement of the reception of its new Airbus A320 aircraft by the manufacturer, the airlines will lease aircraft to replace its old ones. In a press release, Airbus informed Kuwait Airways about the postponement of delivery of its new aircraft to June, October and November of this year, instead of originally scheduled for March, the company said in a press release.

The statement added that such an aircraft was to replace the three old planes of the same type, noting that the old ones were at a standstill mode since April 1st and in preparation to be sold. Kuwait Airways noted, “they will work to bring the situation back to normal in a few days, and will ensure the company find alternatives to the affected flights, hoping that customers understand that urgent matter they’re facing.”
