Kuwait Cricket to launch exclusive Sri Lankan Premier League

Kuwait Cricket to launch exclusive Sri Lankan Premier League from this weekend at Sulaibiya Cricket Ground.

As part of Kuwait Cricket’s initiative of many years to involve all the leading communities residing in Kuwait to play competitive cricket and bring them together under the #SpiritOfCricket umbrella of  International Cricket Council (ICC), Director of executive operations and seniors cricket Rishi D Jayan conducted a meeting with all the team captains and representatives of KC SPL (Kuwait Cricket – Sri Lankan Premier League) and launched the league with official team groupings & draws.

KC-SPL follows the grand ongoing success of as many as 7 years of KC KKPL (Kuwait Cricket Kerala Premier League) which was launched in 2013 with 6 teams and has now more than 20 teams participating in its 11th edition.

As many as ten teams are going to participate in the first edition of KC-SPL and only Sri Lankan players (passport holders) are eligible to take part in this league.
