Workers in Al-Mahboula area line up to receive the baskets

The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) — in cooperation with the Interior Ministry — delivered on Friday 1,500 food baskets to workers in the Al-Mahboula area, which is under lockdown due to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

KRCS’s Public Relations head Khaled Al-Zayed told KUNA that operations to hand foodstuff in Mahboula and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh was ongoing since the lockdown was announced.

He added that KRCS was keen on providing necessities to workers as well as families in need in Jahra and Taima areas.

The KRCS provided 400 food baskets in the aforementioned areas, Al-Zayed affirmed.
