The Ministry of Health said Friday that 504 people tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) in the past 24 hours, taking Kuwait’s caseload to 417,135.

The recoveries went up by 90 to 411,680, the Ministry’s Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al- Sanad said, noting that the recoveries represent 98.8 percent of the overall infections. The death toll from the pandemic remained unchanged at 2,468, he told KUNA. There are four Covid-19 cases at ICUs, 2,987 others being treated at home and 15 patients at hospital wards. The newly conducted 21,253 swab tests raised the total to 5,966,736, Dr. Al-Sanad said, adding that the infections account for 2.4 percent of those tests.
