The Amiri Diwan announced on Tuesday the passing of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
“With great sadness and sorrow, the Amiri Diwan mourns the passing of His Highness, the late Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah,” read a statement by the Amiri Diwan. The statement expressed condolences and commiserations to the people of Kuwait, Arab and Islamic regions and the world, praying for mercy on the soul of the deceased.
