Kuwait’s National Assembly (the Parliament) on Tuesday approved a request by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber AlMubarak AlHamad AlSabah to refer the interpellation motion addressed to him by MP Shuaib AlMuwaizri to the Parliamentary Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee.
Up to 41 members of the parliament voted in favor of submitting the motion to the commission. Up to 20 deputies voted against and two others abstained from casting their vote. A total of 63 legislators were present in today’s session.
Meanwhile, MP AlMuwaizri said his motion addressed “the full responsibility of the prime minister, relating to the public policies.” The MP, on November 12, submitted the motion to grill the premier, accusing the state ministries of failing to cope with catastrophes and crises.
