Kuwait parliament to examine emergency preparations

National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim announced on Wednesday that MPs would examine competent authorities’ preparations to cope “with any emergency.”  Preparations by the security apparatuses to deal with any emergency will be included in the next regular parliamentary session, scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday, speaker Al-Ghanim said in a statement at Abdullah Al-Salem Hall.

He indicated that the MPs would discuss the preparations by the departments responsible for defense and civil defense affairs, the army and the interior affairs ministry. Next week will witness many sessions for adopting laws and budgets till the current session ends on July 2nd, he said, indicating the MPs’ summer recess begins as of this date.
