His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim stressed on Sunday the importance of discussing ways to implement the leadership’s supreme directives and means to enhance cooperation with the heads of the judicial, legislative, and executive authorities to better serve the country in the upcoming phase.
This came in a statement to (KUNA), Kuwait Television, and Al-Majlis TV channel, after a meeting between the Prime Minister met and Speaker Al-Ghanim. In his statement, Sheikh Khaled Al-Sabah said ” Our meeting comes in implementation of the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in his meeting with the heads of the three authorities where urged them to uphold the constitution and activate Article 50, which deals with the separation of the two authorities with their cooperation”.
He expressed his thanks to President Al-Ghanim and his happiness to meet him and hoped to continue meetings in the future. His Highness the Prime Minister, also referred to the fruitful visits he paid to the heads of the other authorities where he “found every interest in cooperation in the next phase and the desire to implement the directives of His Highness the Amir during the next phase”. On his part, Speaker Al-Ghanim described the meeting as “an excellent start” where both sides discussed several aspects of the futuristic relationship between the legislative and executive authorities. Al-Ghanim said he was honored to meet with Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, and renewed his congratulations to His Highness the Amir on his confidence in appointing him as Prime Minister and assigning him to form a government.
