Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah meets with a delegation of Libya's Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah re-affirmed on Tuesday Kuwait’s firm stance towards backing peace and stability in Libya.

This came during a meeting between Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled and a delegation of Libya’s Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord at National Assembly, Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry said in a press statement.

The meeting was attended by foreign minister of Libya’s unity government Mohammad Siala, it added.

Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled also called on all parties to reject violence and disseminate peace as well as achieve the desired prosperity.

Ongoing security situations on Libya and the aggravated developments have been reviewed during the meeting, it noted.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Maiteeq, deputy head of Libya’s Presidential Council, expressed appreciations to the role played by Kuwait, and its call for calm as well as the unity of Libyan people.
