Kuwait’s Meteorological Department predicted on Saturday that low and medium clouds will multiply, with occasional cumulative clouds, leading to occasional light thunderstorms.

Official at Kuwait Meteorological Center Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi stressed that the chances of rain will increase within the early hours of Sunday and gradually during the night hours, with chances of thunderstorms to increase to moderate intensity and sometimes heavy over coastal areas and islands.

The weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy with moderate to fresh north easterly wind to south easterly wind, reaching speeds of 20 – 50 km/h with a chance for rain that might be thundery at times.

Al-Qarawi stated that wind activity will increase during rainfall to reach speeds of 55 km per hour, leading to high waves, sea disturbances and low visibility at times. He expected the chance of sporadic rains to continue on Monday, especially on the coastal and southern areas, followed by a reduction of clouds and chances of rainfall gradually by the beginning of Tuesday.

Citizens and residents are expected to exercise caution during this period, especially when going to the sea.
