Kuwait’s Minister of Oil Dr. Muhammad Al-Faris said today, Monday, that Kuwait will increase its oil production while at the same time exerting efforts to reduce gas emissions to ensure energy security.

He said this on the sidelines of his participation in the activities of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Conference.

The Al-Rai daily quoting Dr Faris said Kuwait will tap renewable energy sources, including hydrogen, as a way to move forward in this area.

Meanwhile, the Omani Energy Minister said Muscat will also continue to develop fossil fuels along with hydrogen and other sources of renewable energy.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Oil also participated in the Fourth Petroleum Media Forum for the Gulf States.
