The Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basel Al-Sabah issued a ministerial decree that made it mandatory for citizens and expats to wear a mask or cover their nose and mouth with cloths while out in public places and maintain social distancing as made necessary by WHO guidelines to combat the coronavirus.
This recommendation came as some expats who were walking during the two-hour break in the full curfew initiated on Sunday came out to walk in large numbers, but did not adhere to the health precautions. Many worried that it might further the spread of the coronavirus making all the initiatives for naught.
