Kuwaiti MP Omar Al-Tabtabaei on Sunday filed a grilling motion against the Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Dr. Jenan Ramadan. One of the MP’s five grilling points is based on the “failure of the Minister to carry out its responsibilities to maintain public money.” The second point was allocated by the applicant to what he considered as “wasting public money and damage to a vital state facility and obstructing the state’s plans for sustainable development.”

The third, according to the MP, “violation of the provisions of articles 98 and 130 of the Constitution and a serious breach of the state rights and the obstruction of development projects.” Article 100 of the Kuwaiti Constitution empowers MPs to lodge an interpellation motion against the Prime Minister and ministers regarding their ministerial affairs.
