The first shipments of the Moderna vaccine are now expected to be delivered within a month or two as the negotiations and discussions between the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Vaccine manufacturer has delayed the arrival of vaccine in Kuwait, Al Jarida reported.

Health sources told the daily that the supply of the vaccine to Kuwait was supposed to take place in the coming days, but due to negotiation and the acceleration of demand in the American market, its supply to Kuwait and many countries were delayed.

The clinical trial data showed that the Moderna vaccine was 94% effective in preventing Covid 19, indicating that the vaccine works in similar ways to the one produced by the company, Pfizer, and requires two doses taken four weeks apart to achieve the maximum benefit.
