The Hawalli Security Directorate seized a quantity of imported alcohol. According to the details of the incident, an officer in a patrol car grew suspicious of movement at dawn involving a man and a woman transporting cartons, Al Rai daily reported.
When they approached them, the pair tried to escape, but were caught by the patrol. The pair were Asian, and the carton contained liquor bottles.
