The Ministry of Education confirmed that salaries will not be paid retroactively to returning foreign teachers who were prevented by exceptional circumstances related to the Coronavirus from returning to the country, Al-Anba reported.

Informed educational sources revealed to the daily that there were a number of teachers who were outside the country and their salaries were stopped but their services were not terminated, indicating that after their return and starting their work, their salaries will not be paid to them retroactively, especially since they were deemed absent from work. Which led to the suspension of their salaries.

The sources clarified that the “Ministry of Education” will begin to pay the salary from the date on which the teacher starts his work, indicating that his interruption period will not affect his annual evaluation as it was beyond his control.
