The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a circular to all airlines operating at Kuwait International Airport (KIA) announcing that as part of the first stage, the following countries from where passengers are permitted entry in accordance with the coronavirus preventative system are India, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Further information will be given later regarding the approved laboratories for the coronavirus checks.

Based on the instructions of the Health Authorities in Kuwait, the DGCA clarified that no passenger from the countries mentioned will be allowed to enter Kuwait, including passengers traveling to Kuwait directly, unless they have a valid certificate to prove they are free of the coronavirus (COVID-19-PCR) issued by an accredited laboratory listed in the Medical Utility Network Accreditor (MUNA) system, which contains reliable information, and is linked to the relevant external laboratories.
