Saudi Arabia has brought in new provisions in the kingdom’s traffic law mandating that all vehicles bearing Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) number plates must pay any fines against them before being allowed to exit the borders.

Disclosing this, the Traffic Director of the Eastern Province in Saudi Arabia, Colonel Engineer Ali Al- Zahrani, said that beginning next month owners of vehicles registered in the GCC countries will not be able to leave through the Al-Rigae, Khafji and Batha land ports if they do not pay the traffic fines levied against them.
