The necessary plans are progressing to fully open the ports and the airport within a month, affirmed the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Corona Emergencies, Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali, Al Rai daily reported.
Al-Ali said that the country will return to normal at a gradual pace in the interest of the health of citizens and expats.
He noted there are other decisions that will soon pass by the committee, in addition to organizing a meeting next week with the Minister of Health with the ministers of the Cooperation Council for starting tourism soon.
“Our goal is to reach the stage of opening the land ports and airports, but there has to be some decision on the arrangements and procedures within a month,” he said.
