Certain types of plastic bottles, namely the PC-6 and PC-7, were withdrawn from the market for tests to check if they were up to health standards set by Kuwait, said the Ministry of Commerce on Saturday. According to the ministry, analysis will be conducted on the material and results will be announced as soon as possible.
It affirmed that ministerial teams would carry on inspecting the market for plastic bottles of the aforementioned types, issuing tickets for those violating the law concerning this matter.
The Ministry of Commerce called on the public to reach out and report any violation to the law especially during the pre-school shopping season, contacting ministerial inspection teams via the 135 hotline or through the ministry’s Social Media accounts or applications.
