Police are on the lookout for a man who impersonating as a security official kidnapped five Indian women and attempted to molest them in Jahra.
The women were riding in a taxi when the suspect, pretending to be a police officer, stopped their vehicle and ordered them into his unmarked car for “violating the residency law”. Then, under the pretext of taking them to the police station, he drove the women to a deserted area in Jahra and began molesting them.
When the women began shouting for help the molester panicked and escaped in his vehicle. The women then walked to the main road and hitchhiked a ride to the Abu Halifa police station where they filed a complaint against the impersonator.
