Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz arrived in Kuwait on Saturday for a two-day visit to discuss several regional and international issues with top Kuwaiti officials. The visit is part of the country’s endeavors to fulfill the Polish role in supporting the international peace process and discuss with relevant officials the latest developments both in the region and internationally.

On Sunday, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al Jaber Al-Sabah received Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jacek Czaputowicz at the Bayan Palace.

Head of Protocols at the Diwan of His Highness the Crown Prince, and Sheikh Mubarak Sabah AlSalem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah attended the meeting.

Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly (parliament) Marzouq Al Ghanim also met with the visiting Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs. During the discussion, they mulled over the ways and means of pushing forward the level of cooperative ties between both friendly countries, in addition to discussing an array of regional and international affairs. Kuwaiti Ambassador to Poland Khaled Al-Fadhli and Polish Ambassador to Kuwait Pawel Lechowicz were present at the talks.

There has been remarkable coordination between Kuwait’s Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah and Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz on several issues raised in the Security Council as the two non-permanent members.

Recently, during his visit to the UN, the Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. The ministers discussed prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation and the coordination of actions in the UN Security Council as well as touched on the topic of tensions in the Persian Gulf.
