A meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Diwan, chaired by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and attended by the cabinet, discussed a report presented by Sheikh Ahmad Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, head of Government Performance Follow-Up Agency (GPFA).

In a presentation made on the occasion, Sheikh Ahmad Mishal highlighted projects and their planned timetables, as well as the observations made by regulatory bodies on government agencies.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh said the attendees were also briefed on the recommendations made by the parliamentary committee of budgets and final account.

The meeting was held in light of the government’s aim of improving services and facilitating the implementation of projects. The meeting also called on the coordinating committee of the Council of Ministers to meet with all agents and leaders in government agencies and discuss all observations contained in the report by the regulatory bodies and their recommendations to facilitate the completion of projects on schedule.

Saying that the meeting studied in detail the report submitted by Sheikh Ahmad Mishal, Minister Al-Saleh said the report pointed to the obstacles in executing projects as planned and made recommendations on ways to address them in a practical manner.

He added that at the end of the meeting, His HIghness the Prime Minister lauded the efforts made by GPFA in preparing the report and called for forming a commission to offer practical solutions to end all obstacles facing the implementation of projects in a time-bound manner.
