Ministry of Education has issued a directive to all public, private and model schools to celebrate the successful medical trip of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his scheduled return.
Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Activities and Development Faisal Al-Meqaised issued a circular to the educational zones, Private Education Directorate, Religious Education Directorate and special education schools in this regard.
On another note, the Ministry of Education is understood to have suspended the appointment of Kuwaiti Physical Education specialist teachers who graduated from universities in Egypt and Jordan.
The concerned graduates, who were appointed as administrative employees in the ministry, protested against their placement but the ministry pointed out that said Physical Education specialists posts are reserved only for those who graduate from the College of Education and the College of Basic Education in Kuwait.
The graduates are now reported to have their grievance with the Department of Public Education, which is likely to forward the names of affected graduates to the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Hamed Al-Azmi for final decision.
