Security personnel are on the lookout for a thief, caught on video stealing aluminum safety railings from foot overbridges.
Hawally security forces announced that they had located and impounded the vehicle that the thief had used to steal the railings. The search is on for the owner of the vehicle, which was found abandoned in an empty lot in Salwa with the stolen material still inside.
A citizen recorded on video the robbery live and published it on social media, which triggered the search by the security authorities. The suspect when apprehended will face charges of stealing and damaging public property, said a security official.
