A significant decrease in temperature across Kuwait is expected until Sunday, forecasters warned on Wednesday.

Mild conditions are expected during the day, ranging between 15-18 degrees Celsius, followed by a drop to “very cold conditions” at night to between 2-5 degrees Celsius, said Abdulaziz AlQarawi of the Kuwait Meteorological Department.

The arrival of an “atmospheric high extension” later this evening will bring a “cold and dry air mass” leading to northwesterly wind activity, particularly over coastal areas, he added.

Friday and Saturday may witness the emergence of some scattered clouds and chances for frost formation in some areas, he mentioned, adding that temperatures will return to normal on Monday.
